To allow the 'Final Closure Date' field with a date prior to 'Awaiting Approval Queue Start Date'. Sometimes, the demands are not moved to us on the right dates, and should a decision is taken on the request in the interim, we are unable to chose a prior date to 'Awaiting Approval Queue Start Date'. The tool does not allow us and if we raise an SR, the tech representative faces the same error as us.
Error snapshot is attached for your reference please.

Can we have a workaround in the meantime? Is someone able to fix that field if the wrong date has been selected?
There can be a number of reasons: OOO time, time zones, weekends, workload for that day, etc. Now why the user still wouldn’t select the right date is still open but why they are delayed in moving can be tagged to a couple of different reasons.

Hi Megan,
We want to highlight that the issue is not with the tool but with the process I guess. CT DMA is accurately capturing the awaiting approval start date just when the estimation is marked as completed by TSMs.
We need to understand why TSMs are not sending the demand to PdMs when the solution plan is ready.
Additionally, allowing final closure date before estimation completed date/awaiting approval start date will show wrong picture of the demand’s flow.
I think this has already been considered part of the new design flow of demand 2.0 POC where solution plan review will be done prior to the approval. We would request you to wait for the new design to be tested.
Also, a similar idea CTDMA-I-90 is submitted already.
Cristian, Could you please mark this idea as ‘Future Consideration’ and tag it with POC demand 2.0?
Anil/Robin, Please let us know otherwise.

I just saw the comment and that does not address the issue. The comment only explains how the workflow works which is what we already understand. We have brought this issue up has sometimes PdMs aren’t sent the demands in a timely manner and when we go to mark the actual close dates, we can’t because of the date the TSM selected for estimation completed date.

Hi Neha,
The awaiting approval start date is the same as the Estimation completed date (Solution & Estimation Tab). Additionally, every time a PdM sends back the demand to TSM and TSM again forwards it to PdM this date gets updated.
Therefore, the final closure date must be on or after awaiting approval start date/ estimation completed date. It is not a bug and it's working as expected.
Let us know if this helps.
